Dr Gayatri (Bipasha Basu), a scientist investigating paranormal activity and voodoo practices, meets Varun (Sanjay Dutt), who possesses supernatural powers and becomes a willing subject for her studies. During the course of her experiment, Varun discovers an evil power that is somehow linked to Ravana's rudraksh.

Apparently, this rudraksh is unique and has powers of its own. Varun's adventures lead him to the Himalayas and Ravana's palaces in Sri Lanka.

Suniel Shetty plays Bhuria, Varun's arch rival. Isha Koppikar plays Bhuria's seductive Lali.
