Be it his tiff with Fardeen Khan on the sets of Ken Ghosh's Fida or his alleged liplock pictures with Kareena Kapoor in a Mumbai tabloid, Shahid Kapoor has been in the news more for his offscreen behaviour than his onscreen talent this year.

His new film, Dil Maange More, also starring debutante Soha Ali Khan, Ayesha Takia (Tarzan: The Wonder Car) and Tulip Joshi (Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai), will release on December 31. It is directed by Anant Mahadevan.

News Editor (Entertainment) Syed Firdaus Ashraf met up with Shahid and asked him about his film.

The year 2004 was more of a learning experience for me in the film industry. I have learnt a lot from my films.

The only unfortunate event this year was that Fida flopped. I think we had done a good job in the film but the audience did not accept the film's story.
