The sunny-yet-chilly afternoon was the perfect backdrop for the annual day event at the Oxford Public School in a Mumbai suburb. Children in uniforms, teachers running around, a stage, colourful flags flapping in the wind, an instructor briefing his students -- it seemed to be the same old experience we had in school.

Except we didn't have Kamal Haasan as an instructor, or Singeetham Srinivasa Rao as director. Nor did we have cameras in larger than life cranes hovering over our heads. Not to forget arc lights and reflectors.

Welcome to the sets of Mumbai Xpress, the latest bilingual (Hindi and Tamil) movie from the Kamal-Singeetham combination. They had earlier come together to give us memorable hits like Pushpak and Appu-Raja.

The film also stars Manisha Koirala.
