When I was in Sydenham College (the prestigious commerce college in South Mumbai), I was noticed for a Colgate commercial. Advertising agencies are always looking for fresh faces. That was my first ad.

I loved doing that ad. So I thought that since the going is good, I should be more serious about it. Modeling became a full time career for me for about seven years.

I have done about 250 commercials so far. I also participated in the Miss India pageant and was crowned the Sony Viewer's choice Miss India title in 1999. I represented India at the Miss International contest in Japan.

While shooting for the Hyundai ad, I never guessed I would be shooting for a film with Shah Rukh Khan next! At that time, shooting an ad with him was good enough! I could not have hoped for more.
