Diana Hayden didn't jump onto the Bollywood bandwagon soon after being crowned Miss World in 1997, like most beauty pageant winners.

She tested the waters only last year with a cameo in Khalid Mohamed's Tehzeeb alongside Shabana Azmi, Urmila Matondkar and Arjun Rampal.

Diana will now appear in a full-fledged role in Rajesh Singh's Ab Bas.

"It is about a modern girl married to a guy (played by Shawar Ali) who worships the ground she walks on. They have a baby and are very happy," says Diana. "One day she realises everything is not what it seems. Shawar's character is having an affair. Her world falls apart and then she says, ab bas (enough)!"

Diana and the rest of the Ab Bas unit returned from a Bangkok schedule a couple of days ago. The film's last schedule will be shot in Mumbai soon.

Diana has been taking lessons in Hindi and martial arts. "I have some of that (martial arts) in the film," she laughs.

Ab Bas will release in October.
