Raveena followed an untold pattern after she made her television debut post marriage. Madhuri Dixit hosted the reality show, Kahin Na Kahin Koi Hai, while Karisma Kapoor appeared in Karishma: Miracles Of Destiny after their marriages.

The television serial, Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulam, is directed by Rituparno Ghosh and is based on Guru Dutt’s classic of the same name.

Interestingly, Raveena was not the first choice for the show. It was first offered to Aishwarya Rai, who was asked to reprise Meena Kumari.

The other characters are played by Ayub Khan (who plays Rehman's role) and Joy Sengupta (who plays Bhootnath, Guru Dutt's role).
