There are at least three pillars that the United States and India will endeavour to work on during the G-20 Summit in London, where President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will meet for the first time on April 2, according to senior Administration officials.
Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg in describing specifically what the US and India will try to do together to lead the G-20 in a positive path for all of the countries caught up in the economic and financial crisis, said, "We have a number of challenges, and although they're all important, the first and most important probably, is to sustain the engines of global growth--which is to make sure that we have adequate demand to support recovery."
