The remarkable Tata Nano journey
March 23, 2009
A safe car?
The world's cheapest car, the Tata Nano has always hit the headlines for the right and wrong reasons. While millions wait to catch a glimpse of the world's most affordable car, many have raised concerns about the safety and environment impact of the car.
However, the Tatas have said that the car had undergone a full-frontal crash test in India and was designed to sustain further impact testing under European standards.
In terms of overall pollutants, it has a lower pollution level than two-wheelers in India.
