What is the award winning process 'Five 9s Process' all about? How does this work?
We have created an IP, a solution with six facets. It ensures that we do integration at a fast pace. During every merger, there is a lot of separation anxiety, we do the integration smoothly.
After we decide to close a deal, we follow a five 9's strategy. We complete the integration process in 9 hours, 9 days, 9 weeks and 99 days. The new organisational strategy is charted out in 9 hours.
In 9 days, we roll out the key performing indicators for both the teams. We complete the entire integration process in 99 days. In 9 weeks, we run the business operating metrics. The process helps to integrate, involve and inspire the workforce after a merger.
How does Aegis manage so many acquisitions? How do you identify a potential acquisition?
We have a three-layered team across all ranks. They are dedicatedly working towards acquisition. We see the value of the potential target, its ability to create value, economic advantage, additional customers' advantage, potential leverage or synergy and the location of the company. The success rate is very high.
How has the company grown over the years?
The company has grown ten-fold in the last four years. We have had 100 per cent success in the 11 acquisitions. From $50 million, the revenues have grown to $500 million today. The profits have gone up from $15 million to $100 million.
