Ratan Tata, chairman of the Tata group confirmed on Friday that there will be no Nano from Singur as the company has decided to pull out of West Bengal.
Addressing the media Tata said it was perhaps not the best time to announce the pullout, just days prior to Puja.
He further said that he would have really loved to launch the Rs 100,000 Nano from Bengal, adding that he believed in what the chief minister was doing.
Well-being of employees, safety of contractors and also of vendors has prompted the decision.
