It is going to be the strength of the Indian economy, so long as it engages the international community effectively, that will help pull the world out of this dark recession, said Ron Somers, president, US-India Business Council, in an exclusive interview with India Abroad editor, Aziz Haniffa.
Somers believes that in the wake of the financial tsunami that has hit the United States and the Wall Street meltdown, American businesses and industry are looking to India as the salvation to alleviate their financial woes.
The USIBC's membership, which includes several Fortune 500 members, constitutes the core of investment and collaboration in India.
