Signature drive against price rise

Members of the All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) and Bharatiya Khet Mazdoor Union on Monday collected one crore (10 million) signatures from citizens of India and called upon the government and lawmakers to take effective steps to contain the price rise and to revive and restore the public distribution system to ameliorate the growing distress of the common people.
The petition was submitted to Somnath Chatterjee, the speaker of the Lok Sabha.
