India's inflation to remain stable before falling: FM
May 10, 2008
Finance Minister Palaniappan Chidambaram said on Friday that the inflation is more or less stable and described the marginal increase in the annual wholesale price inflation rate in late April as a major relief.
Government data showed on Friday that the wholesale price index for the 12 months to April 26 rose to its highest level since Nov. 13, 2004.
But the figure however had only edged up from the previous week's rise of 7.57 percent.
