J&K capital shift good for business

With the opening of the civil secretariat and other offices in Srinagar, the people in the Kashmir Valley expect a lucrative summer season.

Prospects of heavy tourist inflows and brisk business are said to be bright.

The state government will function from Srinagar till October end before shifting to the winter capital Jammu.

This bi-annual move known as the "Darbar Move" was introduced by Dogra rulers.
