Environment-friendly designs stole the show at the 78th Geneva Motor Show. Auto makers are betting big on environment friendly and fuel efficient cars as fuel prices are soaring to new heights. Nissan Pivo 2
Heralding a revolution among green cars is Nissan Pivo 2. A futuristic compact car, it is easy to drive and with an innovative revolving cabin. The car has a pivoting passenger compartment that helps the driver park the car while always looking forward.
The platform has a longitudinally symmetrical design, the driver's perception of the car' corners does not change even when the cabin is rotated through 180 degrees. The drive-by-wire systems can reduce the vehicle weight and the number of mechanical parts, by replacing mechanical linkages with electronic signals. The overall length of the car is just 2,700 mm. The Pivo can accommodate three passengers comfortably. Nissan's Pivo 2 model resembles a futuristic bubble car and is powered by an electric lithium ion battery.
