June 30, 2008

Walk & save money

Another top toy maker, Bandai's subsidiary Happinet has also lined up big plans. The company is moving beyond toys and expanding into entertainment, video software, video games, amusements, music software, and e-commerce.

The company saw a net sales of 100 million yen in FY2007. The company launched a taxi meter shaped pedimeter which helps people calculate the taxi fare in real market prices for walking a certain distance.

The company plans to encourage obese people to walk with this gadget telling them how much money they save by walking.
