The other side of Microsoft
June 25, 2008
It's been a 31-year-long journey for the chief architect of Microsoft, Bill Gates. And it hasn't really been smooth sailing for the geek who changed the world. He has had to fight some of the toughest battles in and out of courts in the process of building a software empire.
While Gates has been hailed as one of the greatest entrepreneurs the world has ever known, many in the industry criticise his anti-competitive business tactics. This has been upheld by courts which have levied hefty fines in some cases and asked Microsoft to give up its monopolistic regime.
