'Indian animators are second to none'

July 28, 2008

What is the duration of the course?

We offer an advanced diploma in Digital Arts and 3D Animation that spreads over a period of 12 months.

How do you admit students? How do you assess their ability?

The selection will be done on scrutiny of portfolios and through admission/aptitude tests. The day-long test evaluates the skills of the students in the area of drawing, clay-modelling, acting, and understanding of motion dynamics. Students are also required to undertake a personal interview that gauges their soft skills.

You have started centres in many places in India. Is it because you found there is a shortage of manpower in India?

As I have mentioned earlier, the academy was established to provide adequate skilled manpower to the industry. We concentrate on establishing our centres in key areas across the country where there is concentration of animation/entertainment industry.

This would ensure that there is ready availability of employable manpower for the industry.
