Windows applets and gadgets
The Windows Experience AGE team at MSIDC showcased Ribbon in Paint and Wordpad, multi-touch in paint, location aware in weather gadget, ink and text in sticky notes.
Yes, these were present in the previous version of Windows too but the team enhanced the features and the user interface of these applets.
For example, calculator has new modes, unit conversation and date calculation, along with new user interface.
