The global economic crisis has taken a heavy toll on jobs. The American economy is one of the worst hit with job-losses rising to a 26-year high.
The figures are alarming, about 333,000 employees lost their jobs in November. This year about 1,057,645 job-cuts have already been announced in the US.
The unemployment rate in the US has zoomed to 6.8 per cent, the highest level since 1993. As the economic recession intensifies, more employees are likely to lose their jobs across the world. Where will this lead to? When will the job-cutting spree end? And while we contemplate this, more people are losing their employment. Here's a list of more companies planning to cut jobs. . .
