Talent crunch? Not a big problem in India!

April 24, 2008

"Success is what you do with your ability. It's how you use your talent." George Allen

While a shortage of talent continues to trouble employers all over the world, Indian employers find it easier to get talented people.

Over one-third of companies globally are facing difficulty in finding suitable talent to fill vacancies, but Indian employers are better off, a latest survey says.

According to the Talent Shortage Survey 2008 conducted by global human resource firm Manpower, about 31 per cent of employers worldwide are having difficulty in filling positions due to lack of suitable talent.

Manpower Inc surveyed nearly 43,000 employers across 32 countries and territories to determine the extent to which talent shortages are impacting the labour markets.
