New train service from Udhampur to Kathgodam

November 7, 2007
Indian railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav launched a new train service, connecting Udhampur in J & K with picturesque town of northern Kathgodam on April 06.

Lalu inaugurated the train service in Jammu region, to facilitate connection between Jammu and Kashmir and the rest of the country.

Though the country boasts of being one of the world's largest railway network, still many of its regions remain cut off due to lack of proper transportation facility.
