In a bid to highlight India's entrepreneurial spirit, Proto.in will organise an event to showcase new products, technologies and companies to a select gathering of venture capitalists, industry leaders and technologists.
Thirty hottest startups will get an opportunity to present their products. Proto aims at providing these innovators a space to attract mindshare, investment, advisory capital, and the attention of the venture capitalists.
The event will be held in Chennai on January 20-21. It will provide a forum for entrepreneurs to not only show their products but also get valuable feedback and guidance from venture capitalist and industry experts.
The first day's event will be an invite-only session at the Radisson Hotel. It will have a panel discussion on important topics concerning entrepreneurship by India's leading technology experts and proven entrepreneurs.
The second day's event, which is open to technology enthusiasts, will be held at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras where the entrepreneurs will pitch their products.
The idea is to project India's image as a creator of innovative, cutting edge technology products and services.
"There is a new wave of entrepreneurs, visionaries and a confident generation rising in India. This is just the beginning of a movement towards 'Made in India'. I believe what we need for this country is not evolution, but a revolution. This event will mark its initiation," says Vijay Anand, one of the key members behind the event.
