Optimism, the core of Dhirubhaism

If there was one person who can be credited with having taught the Indian middle-class to dream, it must be Dhirubhai.

In the otherwise futile middle and lower middle-class world of the late seventies and early eighties, all tied up with endless red-tape and continual frustration, he blew in like a breath of fresh air, showing and proving to people that if he can make the impossible happen, so can they!

In the book Dhirubhaism, author A G Krishnamurthy attempts to capture those unique insights that Dhirubhai shared with the author in several interactions during their long association.

The book contains 15 Dhirubhaisms put together to bring out the work philosophy of Dhirubhai and give us a glimpse into the remarkable thinking process and practices of one of India's most successful entrepreneurs. Read an excerpt from the book:
