Tina and Nita Ambani

The Ambani bahus -- Mukesh's wife Nita and Anil's wife Tina -- have both been quite deeply involved in the goings-on ever since the differences between the two brothers were made public.

Both are said to be very ambitious and reports have often suggested that the two bahus may have been instrumental in the two brothers distancing themselves from each other.

'Nita bhabi,' as Kokilaben's elder daughter-in-law is referred to in the RIL family, has come to the fore after her husband Mukesh took over as RIL chairman following his father Dhirubhai's demise on July 6, 2002.

She is associated with various charitable projects and with her pet project: the Dhirubhai Ambani International School.

She is said to have been closely involved with the setting up of Reliance Infocomm and the Dhirubhai Ambani knowledge city. Mukesh and Nita have three kids: Akash, Isha and Anant.

Anil Ambani's wife, Tina has always been in the news. She has been a teenage beauty queen and a freethinking Bollywood actress.

Although fond of parties and her contacts with Bollywood, Tina quite acting after her marriage. She returned to public life to launch her project, the Harmony Art Show, which provides a launching pad for young talented artistes under her patronage and help.

She has two sons: Jai Anmol and Anshul.

The younger bahu, however, has never been associated with the Reliance business interests.
