The Cuban connection

The evening began with a bang, when Sandip and Indian supermodel Jesse Randhawa did a steamy, seductive Cuban dance of love, arguably the finest performance of the night. But rather than dance to the traditional beat, they were accompanied by the Indian flute (played by Suhas Joshi), giving the dance a true fusion feel, very 'When East meets West'.

And there's no denying why Sandip's a big name in dance (he recently danced for and instructed megastar Madonna!). Not only is he extraordinarily talented, he also knows how to let a star shine. Though he guided the dance and controlled the majority of movements, he still gave Jesse space and the limelight, so that her sheer radiance could shine.
