The Peroni 'Pub' at Fashion Week

Yes we love their beers, there's no contesting that. But the Peroni Lounge at the Lakme Fashion Week falls somewhat short of spectacular. Their white leather couches and pristine glass top tables make you wary of touching anything -- lest you spoil the sterile atmosphere.

However, that's something you might be tempted to forgive, given the excellent beer and the models that are always on display there. Lissome ladies looking pretty as a picture with their tall, handsome beaus, nursing one beer all evening, are what define the Peroni Lounge here.

However, there is an upside. The Lounge has what none other does at the venue -- live music. Every evening, a couple of Caucasian women get together with a guitarist and belt out old numbers from the sixties and seventies, sometimes getting the crowd to sing along. Renditions of I can't help falling in love with you, and Words always have the ladies swaying their hips delicately while the men munch on delectable finger food.

What we liked about the Lounge was the fact that they let everyone is, and that there is nothing elitist about them and though they might look hoity-toity, they are, in fact, rather friendly.

It's the best place to head to if a bit of celeb spotting is what you're after, or even if it's just good old eye-candy hunting. The only thing we're left wanting when we leave the place, is the feeling of having been to a good pub!
