So, the big day has been decided upon.
You are sitting with your family and deciding on the guest list and budget.
You sit alone and create your own list of clothes, accessories, and whatever else you are likely to need.
But have you sat down with your partner and discussed your future? While the idea of getting married may seem all rosy there are some issues that may seem irrelevant now but can become sore post-marriage.
To help you get started on the various issues that you should get out of the way before the big day, we've put down a few points you should discuss.
Where will you live?
Are you going to live independently or with your in-laws?
Are you planning on buying an apartment or renting? (This should be done much in advance, but it's never too late to make these decisions.)
Identify a location -- accessible from both your work places, if both of you are working. Close to your parents or your spouse's in case they need support.
If you plan to buy an apartment later, how are you going to plan for it? Would it be a joint holding property? If yes, then, will the EMI be shared?
