We all nurture a secret desire to look like a superstar however using the workplace to fulfill that desire could be disastrous. "I have a very distinct taste in clothes. I like them very conservative yet elegant. The clothes have simple cuts and aren't very trendy. One can experiment with colors and fabrics but do not compromise on the cuts and style," says Anahita, a senior HR executive with a pharmaceutical company.
Selecting fabrics, colors, cuts and styles according to ones body type and personality is important, rather than looking cute or trendy styles.
So if you want to make the right impression at work, here's what women professionals suggest.
Choosing trendy over graceful
It is always better to be graceful and wear what you can carry confidently and feel comfortable in at the same time. However, it is important to choose the right fit. Trends keep changing every season but what looks good on you will always make you feel confident about yourself.
"Pants and skirts should be well fitted, but free of visible panty lines. Especially straight styles like pencil skirts, should be loose enough to sit down comfortably," says Pooja, a retail sales executive with a bank in New Delhi.
