Satish Bodas
Controversy at Fashion Week!

A hue and cry has been raised by the fact that the baby girl who opened Abishek Dutta's showing took a little tumble on the ramp.

Abhishek's autumn/ winter collection from his label 'aDnormal' is dedicated to the girl child and fights discrimination against women.

In keeping with the theme, the show opened with the tyke taking to the catwalk. The adorable toddler, who can't be more than one year old, walked out hand-in-hand with one of the models, charming the audience with her waves and smiles. She lost her balance, however, as little ones that age often do, and stumbled a little way off the ramp when headed back into the wings. The model then scooped her up and carried her off, but the child was not crying.

Says Abhishek, "The media is blowing the whole incident out of proportion. The baby was not injured in any way, she just took a little tumble. But accusations are flying around that it was deliberately staged to signify the callous attitude against girl children!"
