This will be her third outing at LFW, and designer Kaushie, of the Pink Elf label had this to say:
About the collection: The line is inspired from the 'Golden Era' of Bollywood as Kaushie describes it – the 1950s-1960s. The theme -- 'Retro in a Metro' -- is influenced by the beauty and grace of yesteryear heartthrobs Zeenat Aman, Madhbala and Saira Banu and the line and cuts reflect just that. The collection offers a wide range of outfits from strapless dresses, to skirts, casual wear, coats and trousers.
Trends to watch out for this year: Increasingly, fashion is being influenced by the customer, and what he/she wants. So the need of the hour is comfort matched with glamour. Versatile day-to-night ensembles will be big this year.
Your take on Fashion Week: This is my third showing at the Mumbai Fashion Week and I think it’s fabulous. The excitement in the air is palpable and it’s always something I look forward to.
