No fixed price: The best bargain buys in Delhi

June 12, 2008
Summertime in Delhi is when you can give your wardrobe a total overhaul. Flowing skirts, cotton tees and open footwear, all geared towards beating the heat, are available in abundance. If you want to cool off without setting your wallet on fire, though, markets like Sarojini Nagar, Janpath and Lajpat Nagar are where you should be headed -- they offer all you could possibly want at matchless prices.

Sarojini Nagar

One of the oldest markets in Delhi, Sarojini Nagar is the one-stop destination for all your requirements -- clothes, shoes, bags and other regular, everyday necessities. Located in the southern area of the city and divided into Babu Market and Sarojini Nagar Main Market, the site consists of long stretches of kiosks with towering displays of export surplus clothes in all colours and sizes.
