South India's luxury train with a spa!
The tour is priced at USD 350, per person, per day on twin sharing basis. Between April and September, which is the lean season, the tour price is USD 295, per person, per day on twin sharing basis.
To breakeven, the luxury train needs at least 30 percent occupancy every day. The tourism department says it is getting a good response.
Special emphasis is being paid to attract NRIs who would be integral to the success of the Golden Chariot.

Road shows were held in London, Switzerland, New York, Paris and Los Angeles to promote the concept.
Depending on the success of this venture, there are plans to launch the Great Indian Express which will link the Palace on Wheels, Deccan Odyssey and the Golden Chariot.
