Plan the perfect party this festive season

December 19, 2008
'Tis the season to be merry! So you're planning a party, are you? And you want it to be 'the' party -- the one your friends will be talking about for years to come?

We're here to help -- read on to discover tips that will make your shindig rock!

The venue

This depends largely upon your budget. If you have the luxury of a large bundle to blow, just hand the whole thing over to a party planner and let the professionals take care of everything. If you don't have that much moolah to spare, you can either book a hall or restaurant or then have a house party.

Sandhya Sridhar from Limelight Entertainment says, "You can book a banquet hall or a restaurant for a party, but the cost for that could range anywhere from Rs 250 per head to Rs 1,500 per head, depending on the place, food and drinks." If your budget doesn't extend that far out, throw it at your house, or have a benevolent friend lend you theirs. Terrace parties are great fun this time of year, so if you have one at your disposal, make the most of it!
