The diet

August 13, 2008
Mariah was always a yo-yo dieter and has a love of carb-heavy foods, particularly macaroni 'n' cheese. The first thing Patricia did was put her on a permanent regime, cutting off everything unhealthy that she likes except in small doses. So basically a craving for certain foods results in just a morsel of them now and then! Here's what her diet looks like:

  • An intake of 1,000-1,500 calories is the order of the day. Fresh fruit, vegetables, lean meat and fish preparations and soups are all a must. Carbs and proteins are never consumed together, as this is supposed to ensure weightloss and efficient digestion.

  • Snacks are taboo if you're following this regime. Also, the way meals are cooked is of vital importance. Butter is completely banned and very little oil is to be used in food preparation.
  • Mimi consumes three litres of water a day -- that sounds easy enough in theory, but you'll be running to the loo every so often!
