Vintage market in Kashmir, a major attraction
Maharaja Bazar, one of the oldest markets in Jammu and Kashmir, dating back to 19th century is still a major attraction among locals as well as the tourists.
Located in the heart of the state's summer capital Srinagar, Maharaja Bazaar was set up by the Dogra ruler of the state Maharaja Ranbir Singh to develop it as a platform for dispensing items of daily use to the public. Once considered to be a legendary trade hub, it has not lost its sheen and allure even today.
