Grilled fish at Souza Lobo
In the evening, we ate snacks at a local bakery.
For dinner, our pal recommended a place called Souza Lobo, Calangute Beach. We headed there with great expectations. Situated near the beach, the place had a live band, which was so loud we were sure our eardrums would be permanently damaged!
Over a meal of fish fillet with cheese and grilled fish, we discovered that the locally eaten surmai fish is called kingfish.
The next day dawned late for us. Over a light breakfast we made plans.
We decided to hire bikes. That really had us raring to go! We headed for Panjim.
As you approach Panjim, from Calangute, you can see the entire city against the backdrop of the Mandovi river.
