The fourth designer to show on the opening day of the Will's India Fashion Week was Payal Jain. And true to her style, the collection was a fusion of Western shapes and Indian taste set off by delicate floral motifs.
The collection had designs in white, off-whites, browns and black embellished with fine embroidery and self prints.
Though extremely wearable, Jain's collection was conservative with the 'wow' factor simply missing -- from the clothes, the make-up, the accessories, everything. Yet, it may be too soon to write Jain off, with the minimalist look seeming to be big this year.
