Sabyasachi followed up his vintage ethnicwear line with a pret-a-porter collection. The theme of this showing was 'internal growth' -- as fashion becomes more imitative in nature, the designer sought to use organic fabrics, cultural themes and Mughal-style embroidery to create a look that is both classic and contemporary.
Seen here is the opening outfit, which seems to combine Eastern and Western design -- hotpants and sneakers are teamed with a conservative scarf wound around the head and shoulders.
