Casual chic from Nimita Rathod

Nimita Rathod's spring summer collection, "Past Forward", fused historical techniques and materials with modern fashion trends effortlessly. "The inspiration for this line," she says, "comes from the 1960's. It's a narrative which marks the journey of a small town beauty who grows into a glamour queen." While not ostentatious or flashy, the handcrafted ebroidery and subtle ornamentation were strong points. The red embroidery on this brown jacket, for example, gives this futuristic outfit a splash of heritage.
