They say Kashmir is heaven on Earth, a paradise, an Eden.
Pria Kataria Puri's Summer-Spring collection, "Kashmir Ki Kali", demonstrated why this legend persists.
Of Kashmiri origin herself, Pria's line draws from the rich tradition and culture of her home state. In order to give back to the community, she sourced work from embroiders who have been affected by sectarian violence and terrorism in Kashmir.
White trees lined the runway, evoking images of Kashmiri apple orchards, while purple and red lighting represented brilliant sunsets in the foothills of the Himalayas.
The ground-breaking, neo-ethnic creations captivated the audience, drawing immense applause as the show concluded.
