The best gadget buys this Diwali

November 8, 2007
With Diwali just around the corner, it's time to pamper yourself and your near and dear ones with gifts. This season typically sees a huge surge in gadget sales so if you're a tech freak, take a look at these value-for-money products available in the market at present.

A music player may be just the thing you're looking to purchase, but if you are quality-conscious, don't go for an unbranded device. An unbranded mp3 player may come cheap, but it will most likely lack a good finish and will compromise on sound quality too, so don't expect it to last any longer than the festive season.

Apple has just launched the all-new iPod Nano. This sleek mp3 player is comparable in size to the remote control of a regular car music system. The new Nano comes with a screen that allows you to watch videos and photographs while on the move (the earlier Nano didn't had video playing capabilities, so do make sure of wwhich one you buy).

Presently, Apple gives you the option of buying a Nano with a 4GB storage capacity, or then an 8GB one -- they can be bought for approximately Rs 7,500 and Rs 9,000 respectively.

The iPod is a rage with youngsters, so it makes the ideal gift for anyone you know within the age group of 15 to 28 years. And if you're a music lover, go ahead and indulge yourself this festive season -- purchase the sleek iPod Nano!
