Is gaming a serious career option?

Sure you play games, but have you ever considered making them? Mobile, Computer and video game development is a fast-growing entertainment field, with a lot to offer you professionally and creatively. Your enthusiasm is crucial, but you'll also need skill and qualifications.

Games are as competitive as any entertainment industry, and it's not easy to get that first job. But if you've set your sights on the games industry, then go get yourself trained, certified and break in!

Today, with a number of gaming options like mobile, PC, console and on-line games the dynamics of the gaming market has undergone a major change globally. The Global games market is estimated at around Rs 420,000,000,000, which is even larger than the Hollywood box office and is expected to overtake the music industry by 2008.

Gaming in India is finally edging ahead and in the right direction. While the gaming industry in India is in its infancy, NASSCOM believes that this market will witness a growth of 78 per cent and reach Rs 12,000,000,000 by 2009.
