A bird's eye view

For a panoramic view of the city, head to Shillong Peak, 10 km away. At 1,965 metres above sea level, this peak is the highest point in the state.

On the way back, stop by at the Elephant Falls, a mountain stream that descends through two successive falls surrounded by fern covered rocks.

Just above this beautiful waterfall, you will see two smaller falls. Access to them is through a well-paved path across a wooden bridge.
