The rains have arrived, and it is vital to keep your things dry and safe in a sensible handbag. Forget cramming your pockets with your wallet, mobile phone, house keys etc, and make room for those college books and office files -- you need an all-purpose handbag!
The search for the perfect monsoon carry-all is not difficult if you keep a few essentials in mind.
"Large, functional bags are in fashion this season," says a Shopper's Stop executive. "A big bag with pockets on the outside offers ample space to stuff your paperwork, along with umbrellas, windcheaters, napkins, cleansers and makeup that help you to stay untouched from rain damage."
However, make sure not to pick one which cannot be clasped or zipped shut completely. After all, you don't want droplets of water sneaking in and damage your things! Also keep in mind that the straps are not too long -- your bag shouldn't hang any lower than your elbow if you don't want to get it wet.
