Feeling the heat? Head to Manali

Reader Srivatsan KV has never paraglided before. But his first excursion into the sky at Solang Valley was the high point of his holiday in Himachal Pradesh. And now he is a fan. Read his travelogue:

I live in Singapore and have just returned from a trip to Kullu-Manali-Shimla. I went to Himachal Pradesh with a friend and our families. My suggestion after this vacation would be: Go to Manali. But skip Shimla!

  • Airfare for Rs 100 and less!
  • We left Delhi at 10 pm by road. Initially we were skeptical about travelling at night, but it was absolutely safe. We took a Toyota Innova (recommended because of its push back seats) and reached Manali at 3.30 pm the next afternoon.
