First, it was model-turned-actor Arjun Rampal who walked the ramp for Rohit Bal. Wife Mehr Jessia wasn't far behind, for Tarun Tahiliani.
Joking about India's first supermodel, Tahiliani said, "Mehr was busy having babies for a while. Now, she's back." And she looked arresting, striking a pose in this chic shirt-dress over a high-collar shirt.
The collection, titled Summer Breeze, featured lots of white, ecru and beige, with vibrant splashes of colour. There were saris, lehengas as well as some gorgeous casual wear.
Tarun also introduced a special range called 'Tarun Tahiliani - Everyday Wear', that will debut in retail stores in February 2007, priced between Rs 1,200 and Rs 5,000. The designer also shared a home truth: The biggest mistake Indian women make is they wear clothes that don't suit them. They try hard too hard to be something they're not.
So, wannabe fashionistas, just be yourself.
