SABYASACHI MUKHERJEE

A whole new colour pallete

We saw lots of bling, bright colours and embellishment on the runways, in the past few days.

But designer Sabyasachi's collection titled 'The snail', used a 'cleaner, refined pallete' of colours, in his own words.

We saw red, brown, grey, off-white, acid yellow, mud green, pale pink and pale blue.

Though he used lots of prints, all these were handwoven.

We also saw borders made of golden embroidery, skirts with intricate designs and saris with 'exaggerated' sleeves.

Here we see a gold balloon sillhouette dress with big sleeves, and a pitch black square neckline.

Can you wear this? THIS IS ART. What can we say?!
