Navratri brings with it music, dance, fun and fashion. These nine nights of Garba and Dandiya Raas only come once a year.

This year, Navratri begins on October 4. Here's a heads up to help you meet the festival's fashion expectations.

~ Navrati this year is all about splashes of bright and vibrant colours -- yellow, pink, orange, turquoise, blue, lime greens, gold and red.

~ A combination of two to three colours is perfect.

~ For instance, team a pink choli and an orange ghaghra with a blended dupatta in shades of pink, orange and turquoise.

~ Turquoise, yellow and red are great colours if you are dusky-skinned. White is also good. Pair a white ghaghra with a bright choli and cool accessories.
