His shows are never devoid of drama.

This year too, Tarun Tahiliani, acknowledged as India's 'king of drape', showed his collection in his trademark grandeur and style.

The runway was lined in red and the head ramp emblazoned with the Tarun Tahiliani lettering. At the mouth of the ramp was a cage, a house flanking its side.

The name of the collection: The Silk Route to the Orient.

The collection is typically Tarun -- the collection was opulent, sprinkled with gold coins, vivid colours and prints, and fastened or decorated with Swarovski crystals, pearls and diamante necklaces.

Saris, skirts and tops and pants, kaftans and Bedouin-inspired tunics made up a collection that is available for between Rs 4,000 and Rs 50,000.
